“Amboula” is Tunisian for “balloon”: festive, but also delicate. Achref has only been in the Netherlands for a short time. For this family show, he explored how to make new friends. Telling lots of jokes helps. And as it turned out at the Utrecht Café Theater Festival, you don’t even need words to turn it into a party together. That’s where he won the audience award!
Achref Adhadhi is a theater artist and mime performer. He trained as a physical actor and has expressive facial expressions. His performances often tackle serious topics, which he presents with lighthearted humor.
