Kathak Dance Classes

Kathak is a classical Indian dance style known for its rapid footwork and elegant pirouettes. Originally, this dance was performed in temples to tell stories from Hinduism.

I started with the South Indian dance style Bharat Natyam, but soon switched to Kathak. The music and Hindi lyrics speak to me personally and make this dance extra special for me.

During the classes, you’ll learn the basics of Kathak, and we’ll also work on semi-classical choreographies set to Bollywood music.
