Dear diary,
The life of a teenage girl remains a mystery to me that will only be revealed over time. But right now, that doesn't help me at all! I want to know now how to resolve this argument with my friends, or how I can ever get enough sleep when my alarm goes off at 7 a.m. every day, or how it feels to finally be in love.
But of course, I have to discover that for myself, because everything is unnecessarily complicated when you're a teenage girl.
In this musical solo performance, 17-year-old Janine, as a self-proclaimed expert, takes the audience into the world of mean friends, hormones, dirty shoes, and impossible loves. In other words: high school.
With poems, songs, and real diary excerpts, she relives the past six years of her life. She shares uncomfortable anecdotes and embarrassments that every teenager feels at some point.
In addition, she reveals the deeper core of the teenage girl with humor and the necessary criticism, while searching for the answer to one question:
Who am I?
