Theater group PPG Palette Quartet provides beautiful, contemporary, yet quirky performances. On the weekend of April 21 and 23, they perform Oidipoes, a comedy at the Zaans Toneelhuis.
The story of King Oedipus, whose kingdom flourishes as never before, until the gods have had enough and come to bring death and destruction with the destructive plague. To Oedipus the task is to save his hapless people. But the man suffers from a complex and his downfall appears inevitable...

In this Oidipus (after Sophokles), PPG Palette Quartet uses the stage text of "Het Volk" which performed this play in the 2008-2009 theater season. They adapted the tragic original into a comedy.
