In this comedy, the audience can laugh heartily at modern man's inability to count his blessings and enjoy life.
The Dutch on average give life an eight, but about ten percent are on antidepressants. Many people apparently still experience hindrance in the way they interact with themselves and others.
So did the three Freud sisters. No relatives of! They meet in the home of the eldest sister Mathilde who is caring for their sick mother. Her younger sister Anna lives with her temporarily. The youngest of the trio, Renee, is asked to come and help as well.
The road to happiness is not easy for the sisters either. In being together, it soon becomes apparent that each of them has difficulty dealing with changing circumstances. Clinging to familiar patterns then seems to be the safest solution. In their attempt to distance themselves from this and look honestly at themselves and others, the latter proves to be no easy task for the sisters.
