Space for Cultural Initiatives
The Zaans Cultuurhuis is a place where cultural ideas from the Zaan region are given the space to flourish. We offer creators, organizations, cultural communities, and emerging initiatives a place to come together, develop plans, rehearse, and present activities or performances.
We believe it is important that the cultural richness of the Zaan region is truly visible and can be experienced. That is why our doors are open to a wide variety of stories, traditions, art forms, and perspectives. From theater, dance, and music to workshops, celebrations, exhibitions, and gatherings: initiatives can find a suitable home with us.
Whenever possible, we collaborate on the development and implementation of a plan. We can provide support in areas such as planning an activity, reaching an audience, technical aspects, production, or finding collaboration partners. The initiators retain ownership of their idea and shape the program based on their own background, knowledge, and creativity.
We want to be more than just a place where spaces are rented out. The Zaans Cultuurhuis is a shared cultural center where people can share their stories, develop their talents, and forge new connections. Together, we create space for the many cultures and creative ideas that the Zaan region has to offer.
