Shadow Play Workshop

In this workshop, children make their own shadow puppets. First, they decide which character they want to bring to life. Then they design and create their puppet using various materials. They discover how light and shadow come together to form a magical world. How does their puppet move, and what stories can it tell? Behind the shadow screen, the children practice movement, voice, and acting. They explore how their character can walk, dance, and react. Using their own shadow puppets, they create short scenes and stories. No prior experience with theater or puppetry is necessary—imagination is key. At the end, the children work together to bring their handmade shadow figures to life.
