November is the month of light, because not only are the streets lit up by the many little lanterns during Saint Martin’s Day, but we also celebrate the Festival of Lights (Diwali) on Sunday, November 8.
Together with artists from this Indonesian tradition, we’ll create our light artworks based on the question: What does “light” mean to you? We’ll explore all the different forms light can take and work together to create your own light artwork.
What is CultuurSnuivers?
Through CultuurSnuivers, we invite all children to explore the rich diversity of cultures that come together in Zaanstad in an accessible and creative way. You don’t need to be familiar with a tradition from home: it’s precisely by creating, playing, and discovering together that children develop their creative talents and deepen their curiosity and understanding of one another.
