Discover all the cultures of the Zaan Region
We provide a platform for the culture of all residents of the Zaan region. We offer a home for art, theater, and creative development, enabling people to come together in a spirit of wonder.
At the Cultuurhuis, we are actively working to discover and bring together the creativity found in all the cultures represented in the Zaanstreek. Our goal is to make this diversity more visible, to help us get to know one another better, and to ensure that all forms of creativity have a place and a stage where they can develop and be showcased.
We do this through five programs and along three lines:
Young people can experience culture all year round during the creative workshop days and performances held during school breaks.
Through our own projects and productions, we bring together the creativity of our cultural network.
We provide cultural creators and communities with the space to carry out their own projects and activities.
A creative day for the kids every two months, inspired by art forms from around the world.
During every school break, there are special performances and workshops featuring stories and storytelling styles from around the world.
With our ever-expanding network of cultural initiatives in the Zaan region, we are developing projects that bring together everyone’s creative diversity and foster collaboration.
We provide artists from all cultures with the opportunity to develop and perform their shows.
Check out the various activities and events organized by our Culture Partners. Drawing on their cultural backgrounds and leveraging their networks, they organize workshops, performances, and celebrations at the Cultuurhuis.
